Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate 8×240-Gb/s WDM-PDM-QPSK signal transmission on 50-GHz grid over 5×420-km SMF-28 with 4-b/s/Hz net SE adopting simplified heterodyne detection and 9QAM-like procession. 9QAM-like procession is more efficient than digital-post-filtering for this heterodyne system.
