Compact Bragg Grating Reflectors in Silicon Waveguides and Their Application to Resonator Filters

Abstract

Compact reflectors which partially reflect and transmit over a wide wavelength range were realized in sub-wavelength silicon waveguides utilizing curved Bragg gratings and resonator filters based on those reflectors were demonstrated in a standard SOI platform.
