Demonstration of 10Gb/s burst-mode transmission using a linear burst-mode receiver and burst-mode electronic equalization

Abstract

Using burst-mode electronic dispersion compensation and a linear burst-mode receiver, we achieved >100km reach at 15dB loud/soft ratio. Gear shifted least mean squares adaptation limits the number of training bits in the preamble to 250.
