Practical Issues of the Tunable Dispersion Compensation Using Parametric Wavelength Conversion

Abstract

We report the developments of parametric tunable dispersion compensators based on FWM process in a highly nonlinear fiber for real network uses. Input-polarization insensitivity, input-wavelength transparency, and seamless dispersion tuning are successfully demonstrated.
