A 270 × 270 Optical Cross-connect Switch Utilizing Wavelength Routing with Cascaded AWGs

Abstract

We develop a 270 × 270 optical cross-connect that utilizes our cascaded arrayed waveguide-grating (AWG) configuration. The system is set in a 370 × 230 × 120 mm3 box and its feasibility is confirmed by transmission experiments.
