Optical Multicasting of a 224Gb/s PM-16QAM Signal in a Periodically-Poled Lithium Niobate Waveguide

Abstract

Polarization independent multicasting is demonstrated in a PPLN. 3-fold and 2-fold wavelength conversion of a 112Gb/s 16QAM and a 224Gb/s PM-16QAM signal respectively, is experimentally achieved with penalties within 2.9dB at BER=10−3.
