Abstract

We demonstrate high-sensitivity micro Sagnac loop interferometer by twisting micro-tapered fiber. The extinction ratio can be above 24.04dB and beating phenomena can be produced due to excitation of high-order modes when tapered-fiber is tightly twisted.
