Abstract

An all-Silicon Reflective Mach Zehnder Modulator (Si-R-MZM) is proposed, providing the Faraday Rotator Mirror effect for achieving simple coherent demodulation. The Si-R-MZM is analytically described and measurements are made to assess the transmission performances.
