Theoretical Study of Crosstalk Characteristics for Multi-core Optical Fiber Amplifiers

Abstract

We show, for the first time, simple formulas that describe the crosstalk characteristics of a multi-core optical fiber amplifier. The influences of the gain difference and the fan-in/out devices on the crosstalk measurement are discussed.
