First Experimental Demonstration of Real-Time Optical OFDMA PONs with Colorless ONUs and Adaptive DBA

Abstract

End-to-end real-time 10.375Gb/s optical OFDMA PONs with adaptive DBA and colorless ONUs utilizing RSOA intensity modulators are experimentally demonstrated, for the first time, in 26.4km IMDD architectures. The identified minimum ONU wavelength spacing is 0.15nm.
