Abstract

We review our work about near-ballistic uni-traveling carrier photodiode (NBUTC-PD). By utilizing its ultra-fast switching and high output-power characteristics, a few cycle electrical pulse generation and extremely-high data rate wireless communication at W-band is achieved.
