High extinction ratio optical switching independently of temperature with silicon photonic 1×8 switch

Abstract

We demonstrate high extinction ratio optical switching over 40 dB independently of the temperature in the range from 0°C to 75°C with the 1×8 selector switch composed of silicon thermo-optical switch elements.
