Abstract

An all-optical format conversion from 4×10 Gb/s WDM channels to one 40 Gb/s OTDM channel by using Raman amplification-based multi-wavelength pulse compressor is demonstrated. Less than 2-dB power penalty is obtained after the OTDM demultiplexing.
