Abstract
Fiber parametric mixer devices posses the highest figure of merit in any technology, allowing for superior performance with respect to gain, noise and conversion efficiency in both incoherent and coherent applications. Fiber mixers also rely on distributed, rather than lumped nonlinear interaction and require a precise, long-scale phase matching. We discuss recent advances in mapping of mixer dispersive fluctuations and corresponding means for mixer response synthesis.
