From Coarse Grid to Mini-Grid to Gridless: How Much can Gridless Help Contentionless?

Abstract

We study the benefit of gridless wavelength assignment. An efficient spectrum assignment algorithm is developed. It is found a mini-grid case with a certain grid granularity performs almost the same as the full gridless case.
