Tunable Slotted Fabry-Pérot Lasers for Agile Optical Networks

Abstract

We present work carried out to examine the characteristics and transmission performance of a three section tunable slotted Fabry-Pérot laser. The low cost laser exhibits many attractive properties including low linewidth and fast switching speeds.
