Remote Measurement Method for Transmission Characteristics of Access Network Fibers with Coherent MPI

Abstract

A Novel technique to measure the transmission characteristics of access network fibers is proposed. The spectral losses including effects of coherent MPI are also estimated using PON architecture of short SMF and BIF.
