Reduction of Fast SOP Changes in DSCMs under Influence of Shock and Vibrations

Abstract

Fast SOP changes in fiber-based dispersion slope compensating modules (DSCMs) due to mechanical impact are effectively suppressed by introducing a simple passive vibration-suppression scheme consisting of shock mounts isolating the DSCM spool from the housing.
