Abstract

All-optical wavelength conversion for single wavelength channel 1.28-Tb/s polarisation multiplexed RZ-DPSK signals was demonstrated using a 100-m polarisation-maintaining highly nonlinear fibre (PM-HNLF). Error free performance for the converted signal was achieved.
