Network Architecture and Test-Bed Demonstration of Wavelength-Striped Packet Multicasting

Abstract

A new architecture for broadband multicasting of optical messages is proposed and demonstrated on a programmable optical packet switching test-bed. Optical packets with wavelength-striped 8×10 Gb/s payloads are successfully multicasted and routed error-free.
