Real-time and single-shot measurement of instantaneous frequencies of wavelength-division-multiplexed signals

Abstract

A self-reference characterization technique is demonstrated for simultaneously measuring instantaneous frequencies of multi-wavelength optical signals using a single measurement platform. The technique allows real-time optical sampling of the induced frequencies both for amplitude and phase modulated signals.
