240-Gb/s On-Board Optical Transmitters and Receivers

Abstract

We have developed compact 12-channel, on-board optical transmitters and receivers. The assembly size was 9 mm x 14 mm. Error-free transmission up to 20 Gb/s/ch was achieved, which will enable us to construct a high density optical interconnect.
