OBiS: Optical Bit Switcing–A Switch Architecture for Optical Omnipresent Ethernet

Abstract

The Omnipresent Ethernet architecture has been proposed for end-to-end communication using pure Ethernet. We extend the scheme to an all-optical variant that supports a novel scheme called optical bit-switching which is verified through simulations.
