Abstract

Nonlinear tolerance of PDM-OFDM transmission with in-line dispersion compensation, e.g. legacy ultra-long-haul submarine links, is substantially improved by a Volterra non-linear compensation scheme, baud rate sampled, with tolerable O(NlogN) complexity, effectively mitigating intra-channel FWM/XPM decision-feedback error propagation.
