Abstract

Colourless real-time 16-QAM optical OFDM end-to-end transmission at 7.5Gb/s over 25km SSMF is demonstrated experimentally, for the first time, using variable power loading and live-optimised RSOA intensity modulators with modulation bandwidths as narrow as 1GHz.
