Mixed-Polarization to Improve Dynamic Range of Optical Single Sideband in a Mach-Zehnder Modulator

Abstract

We investigate spur-free dynamic range improvement of linearized optical single sideband Mach-Zehnder modulator using mixed-polarization. The experimental results agree with the theoretical analysis showing an improvement of more than 7 dB.
