Abstract

In this paper, we experimentally demonstrate 22.4-Gb/s optical OFDM transmission over 1000km SSMF with polarization multiplexing (POLMUX) and direct detection. To the best of our knowledge, this is the longest reach directly-detected POLMUX-OFDM experiment reported.
