Programmable UWB Waveform Generation using FBGs with Temperature-Controlled Apodization

Abstract

A state-of-the-art programmable technique for generation of various UWB waveforms based on optical pulse shaping is proposed. By changing the temperature of a FBG in some positions, various pulse shapes are generated.
