Abstract

We investigated through simulations the minimum needed guard-band for the allocation of 111Gbit/s coherent PM-QPSK WDM channels on legacy 10Gbit/s IMDD WDM fiber links. For 2dB penalty, results indicate 400GHz (SMF) and 600GHz (NZDSF).
