Abstract

We describe advanced band separation thin-film filters for coexistence-type colorless WDM-POM. A novel proprietary coating technology called “Grand-Ex technology” using an ion-beam sputtering process demonstrates highest filter performances ever reported for band separation in the WDM-PON. Two types of the band separation filters show low loss and high isolations with five channels in CWDM 20nm-spacing at C+L band.
