Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate the combined use of an ultra-broadband, continuous-wave supercontinuum and a dispersion-profiled fiber to implement a high-performance photonic microwave filter based on the spectrum-slicing architecture. Such a Q-factor as high as 140 can be achieved due to both the ultra-broad bandwidth of the CW SC and the compensation of the inherent optical comb filter wavelength chirping through the dispersion-profiled fiber.
