Abstract

We compared direct-detection optical-OFDM systems with QPSK, QAM16 and QAM64 subcarrier modulation for increase of bitrate. Reduced sensitivties of 7.1dB and 14.8dB have been found while increasing the data rate from 10 to 20 and 30Gb/s.
