Widely tunable digital concatenated grating DBR laser

Abstract

A novel, monolithic, widely tunable digital concatenated grating DBR laser for optical communications and sensors is proposed. Continuous tuning over 60nm with high SMSRs and low threshold gains has been demonstrated here with simulated results.
