Abstract

Key techniques enabling asynchronous coherent OCDMA are discussed: to lower the interference level by ultra-long superstructured FBG encoder/decoder, optical thrtesholder and multi-port encoder/decoder; to enhance noise tolerance of system by forward-error-correction and differential-phase-shift-keying with balanced detection.
