Efficient Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Single-Mode Tellurite Glass Fiber

Abstract

A Brillouin gain coefficient of 2.16×10−10 m/W, an order of magnitude larger than that of silica fiber, was measured in tellurite fiber. The Stokes shift and linewidth were 7.882 GHz and 23.6 MHz, respectively.
