S band erbium-doped fiber ring laser tunable through the active fiber bending losses

Abstract

A S band single-frequency depressed-cladding erbium-doped fiber ring laser which can be tuned through the active fiber bending losses is presented. A tuning range of 44 nm, between 1491 and 1535 nm, has been demonstrated.
