Compact, Low Cost Chip Scale Triplexer WDM Filters

Abstract

A high-index contrast PLC branching delay line filter realizes WDM filters for FTTP triplexer applications. The filters achieve low loss and high extinction ratios, while the ultra-compact dimensions of 1mm ⨉ 4mm accommodates thousands of chips a 6” silicon wafer.
