Polymer saturable absorber materials in 1.5 µm band using PMMA and PS with single-wall carbon nanotubes

Abstract

We report thick saturable absorber materials using PMMA and PS polymers with single-wall carbon nanotubes. These materials were easily optically polished on both surfaces and a 171 fs pulse was successfully generated in a passively mode-locked fiber laser
