Abstract

An electroaborption modulator based photocurrent driven wavelength converter has been fabricated and characterized. Bit Error Rate measurements at 10Gb/s show less than 2.5dB power penalty over 30nm with 10dB extinction and input fiber-coupled power less than 2mW.
