Optical Sampling Technologies and Applications

Abstract

Technologies for optical sampling systems are reviewed. Highest temporal resolution is achieved by frequency mixing in nonlinear crystals or fibers. Applications include the investigation of eye diagram distortions due to fiber nonlinearity, dispersion and PMD.
