Gain-Flatness Improvement over C-band Employing Silica-Based Borate/Alumina-codoped EDF

Abstract

Employing borate/ alumina -codoped EDF, the relative gain ripple over the C-band has been reduced to less than 10%, which is to our knowledge the record for the gain flatness of C-band silica-based EDFAs.
