Abstract

We first demonstrated numerically as well as experimentally the wavelength dependence of mode field diameter (MFD) and effective area (Aeff) for photonic crystal fibers (PCFs). It was found that the numerical results of the wavelength dependence of MFD and Aeff for PCFs were in well agreement with that of measured results.
