Abstract

We report experimental results of 1.6 bit/s/Hz, 8×40 Gbit/s OP-CSRZ-DQPSK transmission over 320 km NDSF and demonstration of an 8-fold extension in 40 Gbit/s chromatic dispersion tolerance and a doubling of 40 Gbit/s PMD tolerance without any adjustable compensator.
