Abstract

We demonstrate a polarization-insensitive single-pumped optical-parametric-amplifier by depolarizing the pump using a polarization controller followed by a piece of polarization-maintaining fiber with ~ 100-ps DGD. The polarization-dependent-gain is reduced from 8 dB to <1 dB.
