Abstract

Attenuation of Positive-Medial Dispersion Fiber using a ring-core profile has been successfully decreased from 0.240dB/km to 0.210dB/km keeping large Aeff as 125µm2. Attenuation of P-MDF using a conventional profile was also decreased as low as 0.180dB/km.
