Tunable dispersion compensation using phase modulation in receiver part

Abstract

A novel method of tuneable dispersion compensation at which phase modulation is applied in the receiver part is proposed for OTDM systems. Compensation of dispersion of 3.2 ps/nm at 160 Gb/s OTDM transmission is demonstrated.
