Novel technique for polarization independent all-optical sampling in fiber

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a simple single-path technique for polarization independent all-optical sampling in fiber. The residual polarization dependence was only 0.3 dB and no polarization dependent waveform distortion was detected.
