Abstract

Error free demultiplexing of 160 Gbps data to 10 Gbps was demonstrated with less than 2 dB power penalty using Raman gain enhanced four-wave-mixing in highly-nonlinear-fiber. A 19 dB efficiency increase over FWM without Raman was achieved by using 400mW of Raman pump power.
