Abstract

We demonstrate system performance improvement by adaptive eye mapping of a 10 Gb/s Si-CMOS 16-bit transceiver IC. Doubling the reach from 1000-km to 2000-km has been achieved by adaptively adjusting the threshold/phase over conventional receiver.
