Ultra Low Coherent Crosstalk, High Port-Count Free-Space Wavelength Router

Abstract

A low loss 80×80 port wavelength router is reported for the first time. The large port count is achieved through low background crosstalk using a concave diffraction grating and fibre-pigtailed concentrator arrays with lowest reported coherent crosstalk levels to date.
